Vibration Adjustment of GTD-20ST Turbine Units on Metal Foundations
There were emergency situations where 20MWgas turbine units on metal foundations operated in permafrost areas were tripped by the vibration protection system. Using advanced vibration diagnostic facilities made it possible to reveal design defects of the equipment. Balancing and foundation stiffening have brought the operation of turbines in line with the operating rules and regulations.
