Soil–Water Characteristic Curve Analysis of Weathered Granite Soil According to Fine Content
It is difficult to obtain representative values used for slope stability analysis because constants related to unsaturated ground characteristics contain uncertainties due to the influence of capillary and adsorption phenomena caused by surface forces. In addition, the matric suction generated in the unsaturated state increases the stability of the slope, but the decrease in the matric suction due to torrential rain causes a decrease in slope stability. Therefore, it is important to present an appropriate unsaturated constant value suitable for ground conditions. In this study, the characteristics in the unsaturated state were analyzed using granite weathered soil, a soil representative of domestic production areas. Five types of samples with different fine contents of granite weathered soil of 0, 10, 20, 30, and 50% were prepared, and a soil–water characteristic curve test was performed on the samples, and the parameters were applied using the van Genuchten model.
