The Architectural Imprint of Ideas
Abstract Architectural drawings and models are forms of expression of architecture. Architecture is represented using their respective languages, but it is also presented through their respective codes. In the seventies, in New York, while going through an economic crisis that had frustrated the construction possibilities for many architects, there were a series of events aimed at reclaiming the artistic quality of drawings and models as works of architecture. The study of this period allows us to review the sequence in which various exhibitions were unleashed, to identify its’ main actors, architects, curators, gallery owners and art collectors, and to attribute them their results, because they achieve to lead the access of the architectures of ideas to the world of American art and art collecting market.
