Improving the Design and Increasing the Stability of a Telescopic Water Intake
The article concerns the issue of improving the design and increasing the stability of a telescopic water intake. The design features and operation principles of the existing water intakes are analyzed and their disadvantages are revealed. The article proposes design solutions to improve and increase the stability of the telescopic water intake in the presence of external influences that contribute to the overturning and destruction of the device. In order to increase the stability of the telescopic water intake, a pile structure with a peculiar connection to the water intake float is proposed. A methodology for calculating and designing a telescopic water intake is described and a specific example for its implementation is given.
