Optimization of high-speed milling hardened mold processing parameters based on surface morphology research
Abstract The machining surface formed by high-speed milling of hardened steel molds basically determines the final working state of the mold. First, the formation of surface morphology was studied, and the definition and determination method of surface texture were given. The influences of the interactions between cutting parameters on the roughness, hardness, and metamorphic layers of the machined surface parts were analyzed by experiments and mathematical methods. Secondly, the micro-structure of the machined surface of the mold was studied, and the change of the thickness of the mold after service was analyzed, elemental analysis was performed on the mold after service. Finally, aiming at the problem of high-speed milling surface quality, combined with the response surface analysis method, the mapping model of milling parameter-deterioration layer thickness is established, and the influence of the interaction between milling parameters on the thickness variation of metamorphic layer is obtained. The genetic algorithm was used to optimize the parameters and the optimal combination of milling parameters and the minimum metamorphic layer thickness value were obtained.
