A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Proposals on Conceptual Model Development of Armenian Ethnographic Parks

There are many Armenian thematic centers and museums in Armenia and abroad, but not a single ethnographic park-museum where the architectural and cultural heritage of the Armenian people will be centrally presented, making the idea of the creation of an ethnographic park-museum of the Armenian people relevant. The research is based on a comprehensive study of past attempts at creating similar centers, the Armenian architectural and cultural heritage in an all-encompassing timeframe which represents the possible pool of exhibits that can be used in these types of museums, the possible locations for ethnographic parks, similar realized projects abroad and an analysis of past research on the topic. The methodology for compiling the nomenclature of exhibits of ethnographic parks has been developed in order to classify the architectural and cultural achievements of the Armenian people by time and location. The composition of exposition of the Armenian ethnographic park-museums will be based on following items: historical capitals of the people of Armenia, as well as churches, monasteries, fortresses, ancient settlements, residential, public buildings, khachkars, etc. Proposals were made on the territorial zoning of the ethnographic parks.
