Geopolymer or Alkali Activated Stabilised Earth Bricks
This chapter is focused on the characteristics of geopolymer stabilised compressed earth bricks (CEBs). Reaction mechanisms of alkali activated binders, stabilisation of natural clays with geopolymers, strength and durability characteristics of geopolymer stabilised CEBs, and influence of efflorescence on the strength of geopolymer stabilised CEBs are discussed. Use of fly ash, GGBS and demolition waste for the production of geopolymer stabilised CEBs are also explored.
