Rutting Performance on Different Asphalt Mixtures
Abstract Rutting is main type of road pavement distress. Rutting longitudinal depressions in wheel path caused by repeated heavy traffic load, shear failure in asphalt layer or both. Prediction of rutting development is essential for efficient management of road pavements. This paper presents a rutting performance on different asphalt mixtures. Three asphalt mixtures are made and tested in wheel tracking test. Knowledge from these tests, in future, will be used for developing a model for prediction a rutting progression in asphalt layer of road pavement.
