A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Abstract In this chapter, the hypoplastic model developed by von Wolffersdorff [1] is introduced. This model is often considered as a reference hypoplastic model for predicting the behaviour of granular materials. To clarify the model structure, the model development was followed step by step in Chap. 4 . In this chapter, its mathematical formulation is summarised first, and emphasis is then put on the material parameters and procedures for their calibration.
