A Review on different Parametric Aspects and Sizing Methodologies of Hybrid Renewable Energy System
Microgrids are supposed to be part of the next evolution of the electrical power industry, not only in the island and rural areas but also in urban areas. A hybrid renewable energy system (HRES) is supposed to be synchronized with the traditional power utility; therefore, their optimal planning needs to be identified. Techno-economic analysis of HRES helps to identify the feasibility of a renewable-based system. The economic viability aspects of HRES may also identify using techno-economic analysis. Microgrid preparation is a dynamic process due to current options, priorities, limitations, and uncertainties. This research paper aims to present a recent review on different design parameters, data categorization and different tools used for HRES design. In addition to this, a comprehensive review on different sizing methodologies of HRES, i.e., Graphical Construction, Probabilistic, Iterative, Artificial Intelligence, and Hybrid Methods are addressed in this article.
