Wind Pressure Distribution on Multi-span Mono-slope Canopy Roofs
An experimental study has been done for better understanding of variation of wind load on single and multi monoslope canopy roofs. Testing of all models has been done in wind tunnel situated in IIT Roorkee in open circuit under boundary layer flow. All the models are scaled for experimental study is 1:50. Prototype model of mono-slope canopy roof with 30° roof slope is measured from 0° to 180° wind incidence angles. Four monoslope models, one equipped with pressure taps on both surfaces (35 pressure points on one surface and 29 on the other surface) for point and area-averaged pressure measurements were used. Both the surface of the model has been studied for the wind pressure distribution. Pressure coefficients were computed for every pressure tap with different arrangements. Results shows significant difference of wind pressure on single and multi monoslope canopy Roofs.
