Moving Load Identification on the Bridge by Accelerometer Transducer
The moving load identification on bridges is usually required to ensure the safety, importance and reliability of bridges. The interaction of the vehicles on the bridge is important for estimating the lifetime of the bridge. Moving load identification methods are being developed and implemented from the last decades; however, the results weren’t giving the precise value of the load and also contain noise within the data. This paper reviews the traditional ways of identifying dynamic moving loads. A new technique using vibration signatures to spot the dynamic load is being developed. Vibration signatures are being recorded by using the accelerometer transducers at different positions. Vibration model is developed to investigate the coupled effect of bridge surface and vehicle velocity on the dynamic response under random vehicular loads. The vibration records were obtained from the optimum location. To implement the method an analytical pre-stress bridge model has been developed in the software. The vibration signatures are going to be extracted at a different location on the bridge which will provide us with the acceleration and displacement. The vehicle loads are going to be identified using the simulation results. The bridge load simulation is developed infinite software C.S.I Bridge.
