A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Abstract The purpose of this chapter is to introduce the subject of physical testing of rubber in terms of its rationale, methods, trends, and limitations. As the name implies, physical testing involves measurement and evaluation of physical properties. This could include a wide diversity of characteristics, but, by experience, certain categories of tests have emerged as being satisfactory adjuncts to economical development, production, and acceptance of rubber products.
