Risks Arising from Introducing Bicycle Traffic onto Designated Bus Lanes
Abstract The article presents an analysis of the potential impact of the introduction of cycling onto designated bus lanes. Such solutions are used when there is no possibility of separation cycle lanes outside the bus lanes. However, before applying such solutions, it is important to consider what might be the consequences for bus passengers, because public transport and cycling should not compete with each other. Together, they should state a common and complementary offer encouraging to limit the use of a car in urban trips. The analysis took into account the loss and time saving bus passengers and cyclists.
