Chlorocyclopropane-containing sulfides as additives for lubricating oils
Abstract Chlorocyclopropane-containing sulfides were synthesized via the radical-initiated reaction of thiophenol and ethanedithiol with vinyl(allyl)-gem-dichlorocyclopropyl ethers and characterized. The antiwear and extreme-pressure properties of the synthesized adducts were studied, and these compounds were shown to be effective additives for lubricating oils.
