Proper systems integration is important in any building design, but given the range of challenges associated with very tall buildings, it is crucial that all systems work together as planned. The cause of fires and resulting loss are usually due to several factors failing or not operating as designed to mitigate the risks. The aim of this chapter is to discuss how to integrate fire safety systems in the design of very tall buildings.
