Biomimicry in Architecture for Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation: An Overview of Egypt, Italy, and Germany Actions towards Climate Change
Biomimicry in architecture can play a vital role in climate change mitigation and adaptation. This chapter offers a full review of climate change through several main mitigation and adaptation actions. The objective of this chapter is to appraise and present the major role of biomimicry architecture in climate change mitigation and adaptation. Climate change in a global context and its vital signs, causes, and effects are illustrated and discussed. The role of biomimicry in climate change mitigation and adaptation and climate change actions in Egypt, Italy, and Germany are highlighted. Finally, the chapter portrays biomimicry, climate change, and how biomimetic design could respond efficiently to climate change and benefits of the biomimicry approaches to architecture.
