The effect of corrosion-induced strand fracture on residual prestress of post-tensioned concrete beams should be investigated fully to ensure the structural safety. An experimental test with five specimens is designed to investigate the secondary anchorage and residual prestressing force in locally corroded post-tensioned concrete beams after strand fracture. Then, an analytical method is proposed to determine the damage control section of locally corroded post-tensioned concrete beams after strand fracture for the flexural capacity evaluation. Following this, a numerical model is established to predict the secondary transfer length and residual prestress of fractured strand in post-tensioned concrete beams.
