A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Abstract The NATO Advanced Research Workshop on Problems in Service Life Prediction of Building and Construction Materials was held to explore opportunities for applying, to research on building and construction materials, analytical procedures which have been utilized in predicting service life of materials, components and systems in advanced technologies. The 32 Workshop participants, representing 16 countries, explored these opportunities in a series of six Workshop sessions; the Workshop Program included invited lectures, small group discussions, reports by group discussion leaders, open discussion periods, question and answer periods with lecturers and a closing summary. The informal interactions and discussion among participants also extended well beyond the Workshop Program.
