Chemical Thermodynamics in Ceramics
Removal of Oxygen from Aluminium Nitride
Abstract High-temperature chemical reactions are of importance in the firing of ceramics, but these reactions are sometimes neglected or misinterpreted. This is illustrated with the sintering of aluminium nitride as an example. It is shown that with proper use of chemical thermodynamics, the relevant reactions may be elucidated.
