Effect of cutting parameters on various output responses for cryo-treated INCONEL X750 alloy
The success of the turning process is dependent on the turner's ability to choose cutting parameters such as cutting fluid, cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut. In addition, the workpiece material and machine tool play critical roles in the turning procedure. This work investigates the effect of the cutting parameters namely Cutting speed (V), Feed (f), and Depth of cut on the output responses Material removal rate (MRR), Tool wear (TW), and Surface roughness (Ra). The design of experiments was planned using the Taguchi method of experiment. While turning the INCONEL X750 alloy; experiments were planned under wet conditions. ANOVA analysis was performed to determine the most influencing factor on the behavioral change of the output responses. Optimum evaluation of the output responses was performed using the TOPSIS method. TOPSIS method assigns the ranking of the output responses which were further validated using the Taguchi analysis.
