Regional Seismic Loss Estimation of Buildings
In addition to the earthquake-induced damage to the buildings, regional seismic loss estimation is also critical for disaster management. Consequently, this chapter presents the building-level and component-level seismic loss estimation methods. To solve data acquisition challenges in seismic loss prediction, various loss estimation methods using detailed investigation data, building information model (BIM), and/or geographic information system (GIS) data are also recommended.
