Change Management in Urban Landscape
Change management is one of the main goals of the Historic Urban Landscape approach that was recommended by the UNESCO organization for the years 2011 and 2015 with the initial draft and final revision. Change management included a set of tools that support the development of the city towards preserving its urban landscape in a new and innovative way.
The research discusses the concept of change management in general and change management in urban landscape in particular for developing strategies to inpact the historical urban landscape positivly. The research aims to investigate the tools of change management in general and urban change management in particular towards developing the city’s urban landscape and improving its basic and supportive services. The research adopted the descriptive approach in explaining the case of the study area (Al-Kadhimiya as a case study) by discussing 2 design proposals that was conducted for the case study,and revealed the importance of the drivers of urban change represented by internal and external forces that affect the structure of the urban fabric towards the use of change management models and ways to activate their use at the urban level.
