Shaking Table Experiment on Soil-Micropile Interaction of Semi-integral Abutment Bridge
Abstract Based on a semi-integral abutment bridge employing micropiles under approach slabs, shaking table experiments have been conducted. Via shaking table experiments, dynamic responses, soil-micropile interaction and dynamic p-y curves are investigated. Experimental results shows that natural frequency of soil-micropile system is 8.38 Hz, the maximal bending moment distribution is highly affected by excitation frequency as well as pile displacement distribution. In addition, dynamic p-y skeleton curves are presented.
