Application of Monte Carlo Simulations
This chapter builds upon the fundamentals explained in Chap. 6 for outlining the practical application of Monte Carlo simulations, as well as providing guidance on how to interpret simulation results. Particular emphasis will be put on selecting distribution functions, data fitting (i.e. adjustment of distribution functions to an existing database), identifying correlations, and interpreting histograms and other graphical representations of simulation results.
