Theoretical Description of Laser Ablation
Abstract The expansion and the relevant parameters determining the heat affected zone (HAZ) for the laser ablation processes is discussed. It is shown that the essential parameter to minimize the HAZ is the power density. The limitation of the ablation depth for non- metals is explained with the help of the hyperbolic heat conduction equation which takes into account the finite.
