General characteristic of electric field intensity of 500-kV outdoor switchgears
Abstract Evaluation of the risk of damage to the health of personnel servicing 500-kV electrical installations due to the action of commercial-frequency electric field is described. Using the results of a study performed at several objects of the Trunk Electrical Networks (TEW) of Ural Region, the authors suggest measures for lowering the effect of the field on the personnel.
