Abstract Experimental evidence for mobile triplet-exciton-polarons in polydiacetylene single crystals is given by optically detected magnetic resonance experiments. The temperature dependence and the magnetic field dependence of the triplet state fine structure has been analyzed. The wavefunction of the Π-electron triplet state is calculated on the basis of the precisely determined experimental fine structure tensor.
