Experience in optimization of the hydropower regimes and increase in the operating efficiency of hydroelectric stations of the Kuban cascade
Conclusions 1. The program developed in the power system for optimizing the daily regimes of hydroelectric stations with daily regulation basins and equalizing reservoirs on the basis of the criteria of minimum energy losses of the stream with consideration of network losses and the tables of the optimal loads of the units as a function of the levels of the upper and lower pools compiled by means of it permitted more effective planning and operation of these hydrostations. 2. Substantiated calculations of the specific discharges with consideration of the operating regime of the hydrostations, planned water losses, and condition of the equipment make it possible to estimate the effectiveness of using water resources both at individual hydrostations and for the cascade as a whole. 3. The introduction of the described methods of calculations and planning specific discharges leads to an increase in the production of the cascade and can be useful in other power systems.
