Responsive Envelope Technologies
This chapter aims to provide a thorough description of the responsive envelope topic from a theoretical point of view to allow a clear understanding of the concepts proposed in the following sections. Firstly, this chapter begins with a detailed overview of the main available classification systems and nomenclatures adopted in this research field. Subsequently, this chapter explores the different functioning criteria of the main responsive technologies currently available. Each functioning criterion is described in a dedicated subchapter where the most promising and representative responsive technologies are described—in a specific section—from a technological point of view.
