PSO for Multiobjective Economic Load Dispatch (MELD) for Minimizing Generation Cost and Transmission Losses
Abstract In this paper, multiobjective economic load dispatch (MELD) problem considering generation cost and transmission losses has been formulated using priority goal programming (PGP) technique. In this formulation, equality constraint has been considered by inclusion of penalty parameter K. It has been observed that fixing its value to 1,000 keeps the equality constraint within limits. The non-inferior set for IEEE 5, 14 and 30-bus systems has been generated by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) technique. The best compromise solution has been chosen as the one which gives equal percentage saving for both the objectives.
