SIMILARITY SOLUTIONS OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL MHD BOUNDARY LAYER FLOWS OF NON-NEWTONIAN FLUIDS
Similarity transformation for both steady and unsteady, laminar, incompressible, three-dimensional MHD boundary layer flows of purely viscous non-Newtonian fluids are derived. All possible different forms of free stream velocities and magnetic field strengths have been investigated under which similarity solutions exists. Set of seven similarity solutions is obtained. These similarity solutions are further discussed with respect to their possible applications to different flow geometric namely; steady MHD flow over a flat plate, a wedge flow, and a flow near stagnation region, steady MHD flow in convergent and divergent channels, and impulsively started MHD flow over an infinite flat plate and semi-infinite plate.
