DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONAL FLOOD FORMULA FOR KRISHNA BASIN
The present study aims at developing regional flood formulae for the Krishna basin covering the parts of Karnataka and Maharashtra states. The study has been carried out using Index-flood, EV-I, GEV and Wakeby Distributions. The results indicate that Index-flood method and EV-I distribution yields better results in comparison with the other two methods used in predicting the flood at different sites in the basin.
