A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
In this paper, I shall present some thoughts on the general nature of an architectural discourse ‐ what it is, what it signifies, the sorts of contributors that produce it, impinge upon it or influence it, giving particular attention to those contributors who are not designers: the theoreticians, the patrons, the critics, the historians. Thus I shall suggest a framework for a discussion of Sigfried Giedion, as a contributor to the architectural domain.
