Comportement dynamique de pont-rails courts
The prediction of the dynamic behaviour of short span bridges is particularly uneasy. Studying this type of bridges is mandatory due to their light weight—they are principally single-track bridges—and their particular sensitivity to an abrupt dynamic loading. Furthermore they constitute a large bridge stock along the french railway network. It is thus necessary to predict the induced effect of speed increase on conventional lines on these bridges, and their behaviour on high speed tracks. It is pointed out that the accurate modelisation of boundary conditions and track is essential, since these parameters have a major influence on the behaviour of this type of bridges. This paper compares experimental results from on site testing with finite elements simulations. A special program was developed and refined in order to improve the analysis of short span bridges.
