Business Insolvency and Construction Time Performance
There is a belief held by some in the construction industry, that company insolvency is adversely affecting project time performance.
This papers presents an analysis of five case history projects researched in late 1991 in which various parties participating in the projects became insolvent. The impact of insolvency upon construction time performance is discussed and an analysis of factors affecting construction time performance is presented. The research findings indicate that appropriate management action is essential to minimise or obviate delays to practical completion of the project.
