A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism

The Argentine government has decentralized the distribution of funding for public housing. This article analyses what has happened in a specific municipality (only 10% have acted so far), which had the benefit of advice and guidance on appropriate technology from the Experimental Centre for Economic Housing (CEVE). One notable outcome was a high participation level of women in the mutual assistance plan that resulted.
