Changing Governance- Evolving KnowledgeScapes
Although knowledge is one of the buzzwords of our times, the role of knowledge in local politics and planning is an undervalued issue. The article seeks to clarify the interdependence of the recent changes in local governance arrangements and the changes in the modes of policy-relevant knowledge production and implementation. It is argued that new forms of governance have manifold consequences, such as a multiplication of knowledge forms and sources. Given this development, a reflexive politics of local knowledge seems to be a useful complement to planning.
