Scale effects occur in modeling of models of cylindrical inclusions in sand. An Apparatus of Interface Visualisation has been achieved to study this phenomena. This test allows to visualise the shear mecanisms involved during an inclusion pull-out in granular medium. The results have been obtained with two kinds of sand, Hostun and Fontainebleau, and a 12 mm diameter rough inclusion. The visualisation of the sample allows to determine the grains displacements and volume variations in the shear zone.
