A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
This paper examines the relationship between urban density and fuel consumption claimed by Newman & Kenworthy (1989), with special attention to the claim by Brindle (1994) that it embodies spurious correlation. It shows that spurious correlation of the form claimed by Brindle does not exist.
