General Design and Key Technology of Nanchang Chaoyang Bridge
To solve the traffic problem over the Gan river connecting the two core regions in Nanchang City, a number of rapid traffic channels have been built in recent years. Among them, Chaoyang Bridge is very famous for its innovative structure and aesthetic appearance, which is regarded as a landmark in the city. The design conception of Chaoyang Bridge finally picked the six-tower single plane cable-stayed composite bridge after the study of many alternative designs. High standards and many key technologies were adopted in this project to ensure the success of the bridge. This paper introduces the general background, technical standards, bridge design, landscape design, bridge construction and research on some key issues of Chaoyang Bridge. The experience obtained in this project can serve as a source of reference for the construction of similar bridges in the future.
