Two reinforcement solutions of a historical building are analyzed. After an experimental characterization of materials, A linear analysis is conducted to, resize optimize and compare the two reinforcements. The technique using plates strengthened by carbon fiber was selected on the basis of better seismic behavior in bending and torsion. A nonlinear analysis is then conducted using the Pushover approach. This analysis aims to determine the bearing capacity of the reinforced building, to compare the “demand” and to estimate the level of potential degradation.
