Stabilité des talus rocheux renforcés par des inclusions résistant à la traction et à la compression
The stability of discontinuous rock mass is directly related to the resistance of the preexisting discontinuities. In the present study, we propose a design procedure for jointed rock slope weakened by two sets of persistent joints and reinforced by rockbolts resisting to traction and compression forces as well. The analysis is based upon the kinematic approach of the yield design theory. Two translational collapse mechanisms which include the joints, the intact rock and the reinforcement are considered. The provided results allow, to some extent, an assessment of the global resistance of the reinforced rock slope and highlights the positive effects of the bolting as stabilizing reinforcements. Results are presented in the form of the variations of a lower bound to the parameter reinforcement in terms of internal friction angle of the joint and the angle of rockbolt reinforcements with respect to the later.
