The processing images obtained by electron and optic microscopy is performed to measure the shape parameters of microcracks (tortuosity, roughness…), to quantify the phases% involved in the geochemical mechanisms along the wall rocks, the evolution of porosity and arrangement of particles in the clayey matrices. Two examples of processing image applications show (1) the geochemical mechanism of clogging microcrack by saponite+Fe oxyde precipitations in fluid/hawaïte interactions without any participation of the mechanism of clay particle transfer in suspension and (2) the consequence of triaxial tests on the particles arrangement in kaolinitic pieces test which follow a bimodal behaviour: orientation and displacement of the smallest particles in the isotropic background.
