A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
It is customary for those who wish to respond to reported research to do so within an issue or two of the Journal in which the contribution appeared, to maintain some interest in the debate and in the exploration and exchange of ideas. Sometimes a report is not commented on and occasionally the response occurs much later. A late response may be because other researchers experience difficulty in finding the evidence to refute or support the original thesis. However, a report might go unremarked because it seems to have no bearing on the main directions of research.
