The Effect of Untreated Face Veneers on the Early Burning Properties of Fire Retardant Treated Plywood
The effect of overlaying untreated face veneers on the early burning properties of fire retardant treated plywood was determined by testing to AS1530, Part 3. This increased the Spread of Flame Index to a level similar to that of wholly untreated plywood. Hence, the fire retardant treatment was nullified by overlaying with untreated veneer.
