Identification of Structural Parameters of Two-storey Shear Buildings by the Iterative Training of Neural Networks
This paper uses the artificial neural network (ANN) for the identification of structural parameters of multistorey shear building using the response of the structure subject to ambient vibration with initial condition and forced vibration with horizontal (ground) displacement. The neural network has been trained by a proposed iterative cycle. For new input pattern to the network, the structural parameters may be identified through the developed neural model using the generated (converged) weights. The model has been tested for the identification of the stiffness parameters of two-storey structures using the prior values of the design parameters.
