These photographs were taken at allotment sites in and around the city of Birmingham. The images have been selected from a series of photographs which examine the subject from both a documentary and a more purely photographic perspective, concentrating on the themes of Allotment Holders, Retreats (Sheds), Bird‐scarers, Mark‐making, Annual Shows, and a group of miscellaneous material.
