APPLICATION OF FUZZY RELATIONAL EQUATIONS IN TRANSPORT PROJECT EVALUATION
This paper examines the use of fuzzy relational equations in the context of the evalua tion of transport projects. Projects are characterised in terms of linguistic expressions of 'performance' with respect to factors (e.g., savings in travel-time) or impacts (e.g., social dislocation) and the 'importance' of those factors/impacts. Illustrative examples are developed.
