Professor Gyula Sebestyen, Secretary General of CIB, completes his review of major building research facilities with a climate wind tunnel at CSTB, Nantes; large-scale climate simulator at ORNL, Tennessee; new earthquake engineering experimental facilities in Japan; large-scale test facilities for durability and thermal studies in Trondheim and elevator testing tower in Connecticut. The first paper, in November/December 1987, covered large structural systems at Lehigh University; tensile testing machine at EMDA, Switzerland; experimental building for heating at CERUG, Gaz de France; fire prediction and simulation at NIST; lighting and HVAC at NIST; wind tunnel computer program at Shimizu Construction, and wind measurement equipment at CSTB.
